The Corporate Finance Club is committed to providing each of its members with the tools necessary to make informed decisions about corporate finance careers and successfully navigate the corporate finance recruiting process. Club events and initiatives are centered on networking, sharing best practices, financial skill development and corporate engagement to improve students’ recruiting prospects and UNC Kenan-Flagler’s visibility among relevant employers.
Aakrati Kinger - President
Aakrati is a class of 2017 MBA student concentrating in Corporate Finance. Prior to attending Kenan-Flagler Business School, Aakrati worked with Goldman Sachs in Sales and Trading Division. Upon graduation from Birla Instititute of Technology and Science -India in 2011 with a Master of Science degree in Finance she started working with Ernst & Young in Risk Advisory on auditing projects where she managed a team of 25 people. This summer, Aakrati will be joining the Investment Banking Division of Evercore Partners in New York City.
Matthias Hunkeler - VP of Finance
After Matthias graduated from Hamilton College in 2010, he started working for FactSet Research Systems, a financial software company. He focused on FactSet’s fixed income products in a sales and consulting role. He is pursuing an MBA with a concentration in corporate finance to develop the skills necessary to lead and develop strategies in ambiguous business environments. This summer Matthias will be interning at Liberty Mutual as part of their Summer Corporate Development Program. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer.
Aditya Parikh - VP of Communications
Aditya is pursuing concentrations in Corporate Finance and Marketing. Prior to coming to UNC Kenan-Flagler, he spent 4 years in Financial services, primarily within Investment Banking and research in India. He graduated from Mumbai University in 2011 with a degree in Eletronics Engineering. He enjoys discussing trivia, swimming and critiquing food.
Scott Petralia - VP of Corporate Relations
Scott graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Economics from McGill University. Prior to business school, Scott worked for CRT Capital Group in Stamford, CT. He was part of the high yield and distressed debt research team covering industrials, retail, and special situations. Before CRT, Scott interned at Trilogy Capital and JP Morgan Asset Management. This summer, Scott will be interning at Summit Midstream within its Finance team.
AJ Tandon - VP of Learning & Development
AJ graduated from the University of Nottingham in the UK with a degree in Economics. He joined PwC in London where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant, working in Banking & Capital Markets during the financial crisis. He subsequently moved to Credit Suisse, gaining experience working across Europe and the Middle-East. This summer, he will intern in Corporate Finance at Amgen. He is an ardent Liverpool FC fan, pub quiz aficionado and wannabe beer connoisseur.
Timothy Smith - VP of Learning & Development
Tim graduated from the University of Virginia in 2010, at which point he moved to DC to become a tax accountant, first at Baker Tilly, then at Leidos. While in DC he participated in the most DC events, such as brunch, multiple LGBT sports leagues, and the Post Hunt. Tim is now pursuing concentrations in Corporate Finance and Entrepreneurship to leverage his tax background into a more exciting and fulfilling career starting with an internship at Thomson Reuters. At KFBS, Tim is involved formally in Corporate Finance, KFBS Pride, Brunch Club (pending approval) and the Tennis Club, and informally in Wine Wednesdays.
