Luca Barber

Luca Barber

Fund Manager, MBA Class of 2017

Luca Barber is a class of 2017 MBA student concentrating in Real Estate and Corporate Finance. Luca spent his summer in Atlanta with MetLife Real Estate Investors, an institutional investment platform, working as a summer associate in the first mortgage and equity real estate divisions. Prior to attending Kenan-Flagler Business School, Luca spent 5 years working in the real estate industry in Washington, DC and the New York Tri-State area. Most recently, he served as an Associate with JLL’s Mid-Atlantic Multifamily Investment Sales team where he underwrote and analyzed over $3 billion in various multifamily dispositions including stabilized assets, pre-sales, development sites, conversions, and non-performing loans. Prior to this role, Luca worked for Roseland Property Company performing multifamily operations in the Tri-State area. Luca Graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish.

Blake Bickmore

Fund Manager, MBA Class of 2017

Blake Bickmore is a class of 2017 MBA student concentrating in Real Estate and Corporate Finance. Blake spent his summer in Dallas with MetLife Real Estate Investors as an associate in the first mortgage and equity real estate platforms where underwrote $3.2B of office, industrial, and multi-family debt and equity placement.  Prior to attending Kenan-Flagler Business School, Blake spent four years working in the real estate industry with Private Capital Group, a privately held first mortgage producer and servicer based in Salt Lake City. At Private Capital Group, Blake both managed a portfolio of performing loans and completed workouts on over 20 distressed loans across the country. Blake graduated from Brigham Young University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and Business Management.

Darcy Fiscella

Darcy Fiscella

Fund Manager, MBA Class of 2017

Darcy is a class of 2017 MBA student concentrating in Real Estate. Darcy spent her summer with Invesco Real Estate’s acquisitions group, where she underwrote office, multi-family, and retail transactions valued at $2 billion. Prior to attending Kenan-Flagler Business School, Darcy was an Account Associate at Pacific Investment Management Company (PIMCO), where she serviced institutional corporate clients representing over $20 billion in defined benefit, defined contribution, and operating cash assets. Before joining PIMCO, Darcy was an Equities Sales Analyst at Barclays Capital. In this role, she supported relationships with prominent hedge funds and sovereign wealth funds ranging from $2 billion to $250 billion in assets under management. Darcy graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and concentrations in finance and accounting in 2011.

Brad Kantrowitz

Fund Manager, MBA Class of 2017

Brad Kantrowitz is a class of 2017 MBA student concentrating in Real Estate and Corporate Finance. Brad spent his summer in the Real Estate, Gaming, and Lodging Group within the Investment Banking Division of Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Prior to attending Kenan-Flagler Business School, Brad spent six years working in the real estate and accounting industries in New York City. Most recently, he served as a Fund Accountant at GTIS Partners, an international real estate investment management firm. At GTIS Partners, Brad managed all aspects of the financial reporting process for opportunistic real estate funds with over $2B of committed capital. Prior to this role, Brad worked in the Advisory and Audit practices at KPMG. Brad is a licensed CPA and graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 2009 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting.

Logan King

Logan King is a class of 2017 MBA student concentrating in Real Estate and Corporate Finance. Logan spent his summer in New York with HQ Capital, a real estate private equity firm, on the investment team. Prior to attending Kenan-Flagler Business School, Logan spent three years working in the real estate industry in San Francisco, CA. Most recently, he served as Market Lead and Asset Manager at 643 Capital Management, a private real estate investment, operating, and management firm focused on debt and equity investments. There he managed acquisitions, renovations, and asset management of over $400 million in residential real estate across the country. Prior to this role, Logan worked at Brown Brothers Harriman in the Investor Relations division for institutional mutual funds. Logan graduated from Colby College with a Bachelors of Arts in History.

Bob Sincerbeaux

Fund Manager, MBA Class of 2017

Bob Sincerbeaux is a class of 2017 MBA student concentrating in Real Estate and Corporate Finance. Bob spent his summer in Washington, D.C. with Eastdil Secured working as a summer associate in the real estate investment banking group. Prior to attending Kenan-Flagler Business School, Bob spent 3 years working in Washington, D.C. at Cambridge Associates, an investment consulting firm. In his most recent role, Bob served as a senior associate with the market research group where he developed a new valuation framework to determine the fair trading value of REITs across a variety of subsectors and geographies. Prior to this role, Bob worked for Finacity Corporation in Stamford, Connecticut helping underwrite the securitization of accounts receivable for distressed multi-national companies. Bob graduated from Middlebury College with a Bachelor of Arts in English.

Brian Slaughter

Brian Slaughter

Brian is a class of 2017 MBA student concentrating in Real Estate and Corporate Finance.  Brian spent his summer in New York with Eastdil Secured working as a summer associate in the real estate investment banking group and will be returning upon graduation.  Prior to attending Kenan-Flagler Business School, Brian spent a summer at Hines, an international real estate investment firm in Washington, DC as a Pre-MBA acquisitions intern. Prior to his internship, Brian spent three years as an Assistant Project Manager for HITT Contracting in Baltimore, Washington DC, Charleston, and Denver. With HITT Contracting, Brian supported over 900,000 SF and $175M worth of tenant interior, healthcare, aviation, commercial office, and institutional projects in a project management role and $750M+ in a preconstruction role. Most recently, Brian was part of the team to launch HITT Contracting’s newest regional office in Denver, CO. Brian graduated from University of Virginia in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a minor in Business.

Mason Tillett

Mason Tillett

Fund Manager, MBA Class of 2017

Mason is a class of 2017 MBA student concentrating in Real Estate and Corporate Finance. Prior to attending Kenan-Flagler Business School, Mason spent five years working as a commercial mortgage underwriter with Walker & Dunlop. He spent four of those years at headquarters in Bethesda, MD before becoming an Assistant Vice President and transferring down to the Nashville office for the final year. Over the course of his tenure, he completed financing on over 3700 units at approximately $400M in valuation across the US, including extensive work towards the end of his tenure on complex LIHTC equity transactions for substantial rehabilitations and new construction projects. For his 2016 summer internship, Mason worked at Boyle Investment Company in Nashville, TN as a Development/Finance intern where he gained significant experience in the retail and office asset classes. Mason graduated from Washington & Lee University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a minor in Mathematics.

Hays is a member of the Undergraduate Business Program, class of 2017, concentrating in Real Estate with a double minor in Spanish for the Professions and History. He spent his past summer working with CBRE in Atlanta, Georgia as an investment sales analyst with their National Retail Investment Group. Hays remains involved on campus as a Vice President of the Undergraduate Real Estate Club.

Louis Stephens

Louis Stephens

Associate, Undergraduate Business Program Class of 2017

Louis is a member of the Undergraduate Business Program class of 2017, concentrating in Real Estate and Corporate Finance with a minor in History. Louis spent his past summer with Medalist Capital, a boutique commercial mortgage banking brokerage firm headquartered in Charlotte, NC. The summer prior, Louis interned with Bell Partners, a prominent apartment owner and operator based in Greensboro, NC. While at school Louis remains engaged in the local real estate market by assisting a private investor in leasing student housing. Additionally, Louis will intern this fall part time with the Dilweg Companies in Durham, NC. On campus, in addition to working with the KFBSF Funds, Louis is Co-President of the Undergraduate Real Estate Club.
