Shaping Leaders, Driving Results

Consulting Emphasis

The objective of the consulting emphasis is to help prepare students for a successful career in the management consulting industry, with special focus on rapid career advancement during the critical first four years within a consulting firm. The program is designed to develop students’ team problem-solving capabilities. Even if a student does not pursue a placement in consulting, participation in this emphasis will provide training in rapid analysis, problem-solving, teamwork and presentations that will positively affect any career in business. The consulting emphasis mixes classroom learning of key structured frameworks for team and functional problem-solving with practical training in actual consulting projects and client teams. The students in the consulting program are highly sought-after for other class team projects and case competitions. Undergraduate business majors must complete a minimum of 9.0 credit hours.
