UNC Kenan-Flagler Full-time MBA Case Competitions

Case competitions are the varsity sport of MBA programs. Graduate schools and corporations sponsor these contests where students compete to solve "real world" business problems.

UNC Kenan-Flagler Case Competitions

  • Venture Capital Investment Competition (VCIC®) VCIC is the premier event for graduate students pursuing careers as entrepreneurs and venture capitalists. Founded at UNC Kenan-Flagler, it is part of the school’s top ranked program for entrepreneurs. VCIC gives students great experience playing the role of venture capitalists to assess real companies.   • UNC Kenan-Flagler Real Estate Development Challenge The UNC Kenan-Flagler Real Estate Development Challengwas founded by our Center for Real Estate Development as an invitation-only event.   • Wells Fargo Private Bank Alpha Challenge Founded at UNC Kenan-Flagler, the Wells Fargo Private Bank Alpha Challenge is the premier MBA event in the investment management industry.   • UNC Kenan-Flagler Marketing Case Challenge Founded in 2000, the UNC Kenan-Flagler Marketing Case Challenge assigns top students from business school marketing clubs to teams consisting of members from other schools. The competition simulates actual business interactions, where individuals from diverse work and educational backgrounds must quickly demonstrate leadership and teamwork to solve a marketing case.
  • Sustainable Venture Capital Investment Competition (SVCIC) In 2006, the UNC Net Impact Club launched the Sustainable Venture Capital Investment Competition (SVCIC). This national annual competition gives students from top business schools a real-world venture capitalist experience as well as awareness of double or triple bottom line valuation techniques.
