The application process is divided into two parts.

Part One:

  • Submit this application and the two essays
  • Print out the reference form and give it to 1) your Spanish teacher and 2) another person who can speak about your character, motivation and ability to be a part of this program. They should sign their name across the sealed back flap of the envelope they use to return the reference to us. Your application will not be considered complete until we receive these two references. Reference Form [PDF: 79K]
  • Your application, essays, and two recommendations are due no later than February 13, 2009

Part Two:

  • Applicants will be notified by mid-March whether or not they are being invited to the second round of the application process (the oral interview).
  • Those selected will be interviewed individually in late March-early April to assess speaking and listening skills. We expect interviews to take place at the students' high school, with one assessor there in person and one on the telephone.
