Class of 2006 Presents Excellence in Teaching Awards
Each year, the MBA for Executives graduates select professors to receive Excellence in Teaching Awards. The Class of 2006 recognized these professors:
- Anil Shivdasani, professor of finance, was selected by Weekend students. “Anil's passion, energy, and knowledge of finance were a turning point in the program for me.” He offers “unquestioned excellence BOTH in the classroom and in the business world. Anil has an uncanny ability to incorporate his experiences in his lectures, which resonate with students.”
- Mabel Miguel, professor of organizational behavior and strategy, was selected by Evening students. “Choosing only one professor was excruciating. I finally settled on Mabel because her class taught me a tremendous amount both about myself as well as the skill-set necessary to lead an organization.” “Mabel teaches with passion and enthusiasm. Her courses are designed to engage the student in self-discovery, leadership and cultural sensitivity.”
- Sridhar Balasubramanian (“Dr. B”), professor of marketing, was selected by OneMBA students. “Dr. B created an exciting environment for learning and exchanging ideas, which made it easy for us to apply them in real life situations. He was also flexible. When we expressed concern that course topics were geared to manufacturers rather than service providers, Dr B listened. In the next class, he focused on service industry concepts. His responsiveness made the lecture all the more brilliant and relevant to our work.”
