Access support for advancing your career
MBA for Executives students have access to these career services and events:
- Career-oriented courses: The MBA for Executives curriculum offers several courses specifically designed to help you advance your career. Early in the Program, you will build your professional skills in a core course designed to help develop your managerial and leadership skills. Evening and Weekend Program students may also have the opportunity to take the elective course, Strategies for Advancing Your Career
- Career workshops:; You'll have the opportunity to attend short workshops on topics such as networking, marketing yourself within your company, mastering interviews, and preparing for executive roles.
- Career coaching: Our director of career management provides one-on-one career coaching to students and alumni. You can discuss topics such as career strategies and networking techniques and receive guidance on crafting your resume and preparing for interviews, performance reviews and salary negotiations.
- Executive coaching: Executive coaching is the newest addition to our constantly expanding career management offerings. We have contracted with professional executive coaches to provide one-on-one coaching sessions to prepare EMBA students to take on executive roles within their companies. Participating students have given the program rave reviews.
- Online resources: As an MBA for Executives student, you'll have access to UNC Kenan-Flagler's alumni data base where you can search and post jobs, connect with career advisors, and network with UNC Kenan-Flagler alumni.

- Career assessment tools: You'll be able to evaluate your business career interests and aptitude using CareerLeader®, a tool developed by Harvard professors and used by b-schools worldwide.
- Campus events: As a student, you will be invited to learn and network at our annual Executive Alumni Series and other regularly scheduled MBA for Executives social and networking events.
In addition, self-sponsored students who are conducting or planning a job search may be eligible for the Recruiting Access Program. This program may also be available to other students who meet eligibility requirements.
