Like typical part time MBA programs, UNC's MBA for Executives Programs allow you to continue to work full time while attending classes part time. You'll be able to apply your new MBA skills and knowledge immediately on the job. And you'll attended classes with other working professionals and build your career network. To qualify for a UNC Executive MBA (EMBA) Program, you need at least 5 years of professional work experience.

With a part time MBA, you will earn the same degree as graduates of UNC's traditional MBA Program. Our part time MBA curriculum is more concentrated than the traditional MBA. We engage our students in more in-depth classroom discussions to take advantage of their business experience. They will tell you the part time MBA is no "MBA-lite."

Convenient Part Time MBA schedule with more time for family and work
Part time MBA classes are held Monday and Thursday evenings (6:00 to 9:15 pm) for 24 months. You may choose elective part time MBA classes offered on other days during the final eight months. There are also two immersion weekends (Friday and Saturday nights) at the beginning and end of the Part Time MBA Program.

The part time MBA at UNC attracts results-driven team players who build lasting relationships. Most are in their early to mid-30s with 10 years work experience. (Five years minimum is required, with eight preferred.) Most part time MBA students live within an hour's drive of Chapel Hill.

The Part Time MBA Program starts with 16 core courses so everyone has a common foundation. After the first year, tailor your part time MBA to fit your career goals. Select at least ten elective courses from a list of more than 40 offered during evenings or weekends. Few, if any, top executive part time MBA programs offer more choices.
