A Sampling of Kenan-Flagler's Most Recent Rankings




U.S. News & World Report ranked Kenan-Flagler's BSBA Program No. 5 in its annual college issue Sept. 23. Kenan-Flagler tied with the University of Virginia and earned high marks in specialty areas: No. 5 in marketing; No. 7 in finance, management and operations; No. 9 in accounting; and No. 11 in international business. U.S. News also ranked Kenan-Flagler's Executive MBA Program No. 10, MBA Program No. 17 and the accounting area No. 10 in its annual rankings of graduate programs April 15.




The Financial Times ranked Kenan-Flagler No. 8 of the world's best at executive education in May 2002. The overall ranking included No. 9 for open-enrollment programs, in a tie with UCLA, and No. 10 for custom programs. The overall and custom rankings both moved up two spots from 2001. The ranking is based on responses by participants or corporate purchasers and school surveys. Kenan-Flagler also was ranked in the top 10 for star faculty; new skills and learning; course design and value for money in custom programs; and star faculty and course design in open programs.




The Wall Street Journal ranked Kenan-Flagler's MBA Program No. 12 in its 2002 international ranking of MBA programs, up five spots from 2001. Kenan-Flagler is the only school in the southeastern United States ranked in the top 15. Management consulting recruiters ranked Kenan-Flagler as the No. 2 favorite and technology recruiters ranked it No. 9. Other specialty rankings of Kenan-Flagler were No. 8 in marketing and No. 10 in general management in academic areas; No. 4 among public schools; No. 5 of "hidden gems" ("business-school treasures that may have gone undiscovered"); and No. 8 of large schools (enrollment of 500 or more). The ranking, published Sept. 9, is based on surveys of MBA recruiters.
