Meena Dorr has joined the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School as director of career and professional development for the Executive MBA Programs. The Executive MBA Programs include the Evening MBA, Weekend MBA and Global OneMBA®.
“Meena brings experience in corporate strategy, consulting and higher education to the EMBA team,” said Sarah Perez, executive director, Executive MBA Programs. “She will use her expertise to design and lead career management and leadership development training for our EMBA students, almost 300 professionals in North Carolina and 13 other states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and Peru.”
Dorr has more than 20 years of progressive corporate and higher education experience, including, strategy consulting, product marketing, financial services, corporate relations and sales.
Dorr previously served as vice president of corporate relations for 2U, Inc., UNC Kenan-Flagler’s technology partner for the online MBA@UNC program. She built strategic relationships with corporations, associations and the military for MBA@UNC.
Prior to 2U, she worked at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business as director of corporate relations and managing director for its Center for Technology, Entertainment and Media.
Dorr began her corporate career as a strategy consultant for Accenture before moving into high-tech marketing at Dell. She also founded a boutique consulting firm focusing on financial services and product marketing.
She earned an MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and a BS in accounting from North Central College.
