Nandini Lahiri’s research lies at the intersection of technology, strategy and organizations. Specifically, she focuses on the role of firm boundaries on innovation performance in the semiconductor industry.
Her current research examines dispersion of R&D activities across locations in multinational firms, the role of vertical integration in technology search and firm boundaries in knowledge management.
Her teaching interests include corporate strategy, global strategy and technology strategy.
Dr. Lahiri worked in the international trading division of the Tata Group in India.
She received her PhD in corporate strategy and international business from the University of Michigan, where she also received a master’s degree in applied economics. She holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Jadavpur University and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade.
