David Rubin is a professor of operations, technology and innovation management.
He also has a joint appointment in the UNC Department of Operations Research.
His teaching interests are in quantitative methods, operations research and statistics.
His research concentrates on developing solution techniques for structured problems in discrete optimization. It has been published in Operations Research Letters and Computational Statistics & Data Analysis. He and UNC Kenan-Flagler emeritus professor Richard Levin have authored the widely used texts, Statistics for Management (7th edition) and Quantitative Approaches to Management (8th edition). Dr. Rubin has worked as an instructor at the SAS Institute.
He received his PhD and MBA from the University of Chicago and his AB from Harvard University.
