Real estate professor Lynn Fisher researches the implications of tenure decisions, contracts and regulation for real estate markets. She teaches courses about real estate development and its processes.
She has worked closely with a variety of real estate investment trusts (REITs), developers, non-profit organizations, and state and local governments in the context of her research.
The Journal of Urban Economics, Real Estate Economics and the Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics are among the journals that have published her work.
Dr. Fisher formerly served on the faculty at Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Department of Urban Studies and Planning and the Center for Real Estate, where she was director of the MIT/CRE Housing Affordability Initiative.
She received her PhD in business administration from Pennsylvania State University, where she concentrated in real estate finance and microeconomics. She has an MS in business administration and a BA in international politics from Penn State.
