Business and Human Resources: Leading HR and Your Organization into the Future

Overview

Dates:   May 13-17, 2013 and October 28 - November 1, 2013
Tuition: Tuition: $5,750

The Business and Human Resources education program has been redesigned to equip senior HR leaders with the most up-to-date business knowledge and skills needed to operate in today’s rapidly changing, global business environment. By attending this program, senior HR leaders will add many business competencies to their repertoire of human resource management skills and will learn how to move their organizations forward.

The business world is changing - globalization, economic downturns, demographic shifts, talent shortages, increasing regulation and new technologies - all leading to global, business innovations that impact the workplace. More than ever, senior HR leaders and managers need to understand how developments in the external environment impact their organizations as they are called upon to make human capital decisions that drive their organizations’ top and bottom lines.

The new economy is forcing senior HR leaders to redefine their roles in their organizations. Senior HR leaders need to operate in strategy-setting roles that clearly demonstrate overall business contribution. Resources will continue to be limited in the future, and senior HR leaders should know how to compete effectively for these limited resources.

This Business and Human Resources program is delivered by an international business school faculty with global expertise in strategy, accounting, finance, operations, marketing and business innovation. By working with business faculty from outside the human resource management area, participants will discover new areas where they can provide expert advice to their business leaders.

This program is offered in partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Participants will earn 29.75 recertification hours. This program meets the Human Resource Certification Institute’s (HRCI) strategic requirement for SPHR (Senior Professionals in Human Resources).

Program fee includes accommodations, instruction, materials and breakfast, lunch and one dinner at Kenan-Flagler’s top-rated, executive conference center.
