How Organizations
Can Get Involved

The CSE provides insight into the role corporations can play in creating a sustainable world and works with companies to identify and leverage competitive advantage through sustainable enterprise strategies and practices. The CSE also collaborates with governmental and nonprofit (NGO) organizations on research initiatives, education programs, and public/private partnerships for sustainable development. The CSE works with both local and global organizations on initiatives ranging from community development in North Carolina to strategies for alleviating world poverty.

There are a number of ways that organizations can work with the CSE. For more detailed information about any of the programs below, please contact  or

  • MBA Consulting Projects
The CSE connects organizations with students for consulting projects through the STAR program. These projects give the students practical application experience as well as course credit, and provide exceptional research and analysis to organizations in the areas of business planning, marketing, finance, operations, and strategy.
  • Joint Research Projects
The CSE often collaborates with governmental and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) on joint research initiatives. If you have a specific research project in mind, please contact us.
  • Recruiting
Because of its renowned sustainable enterprise program, Kenan-Flagler Business School attracts the best and brightest students interested in careers in sustainable enterprise. Many of our students combine their MBA with a Nonprofit Leadership Certificate and/or Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Health, Public Administration, or City and Regional Planning. Organizations interested in recruiting students for internships or permanent positions are invited to request a Net Impact resume book, participate in the Career Management Center events, and post job openings through the CSE.
  • Events
Most of our events are open to the public. Organizations are more than welcome to attend these speakers, panel discussions, and other sustainable enterprise events. We also welcome your suggestions and/or sponsorship of events; please contact us to discuss.
  • Resources
CSE conducts leading research in the field of sustainable enterprise. Organizations are invited to browse our Knowledge Bank for current research articles, case studies, white papers, and more.
