MBA Net Impact Club
Net Impact is a global organization of emerging business leaders committed to using the power of business to create a better world. UNC Kenan-Flagler's Net Impact Chapter is one of the largest and most active chapters of Net Impact. It is also one of the largest career clubs at Kenan-Flagler, with over 30% of the MBA student body as members. In 2001, the UNC chapter hosted the National Net Impact Conference and was honored in 2003 with 2nd Place in the Chapter of the Year competition.
In 2006, the UNC Net Impact Club successfully launched the Sustainable Venture Capital Investment Competition (SVCIC). This national annual competition gives students from top business schools a real-world venture capitalist experience as well as awareness of double or triple bottom line valuation techniques.
UNC Kenan-Flagler's Net Impact Club encourages MBA students to be business visionaries, and empowers them to act on those ideas. The Club believes that the skills of a well-rounded MBA and the network Net Impact provides can be leveraged across all sectors and stakeholder groups, from corporations and partnerships to not-for-profit organizations and governmental agencies.

“Net Impact goes beyond coursework and club activities. It speaks more to the orientation of our students. When you take intelligent, ambitious, team-oriented students and combine these abilities with a heightened sense of social consciousness, you are left with a future business leader capable of influencing significant and real change. Change not only within the companies that will employ them, but also within the communities where these companies operate and within the communities where our graduates reside. These are attributes we seek in our students, and our recruiting organizations seek in their employees.”
—C. Michael Stepanek MBA Program Director, UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School
