Before joining Kenan-Flagler in 2008, Tremayne spent a year in institutional advancement at North Carolina Central University. Originally from Philadelphia, Tremayne graduated from Carolina with a bachelor´s degree in management and society in 2000 and earned a master’s degree in higher education administration from N.C. State in 2013. In 2001, Tremayne began working at an economic development and advocacy non-profit in Durham. He joined Carolina´s Central Development Office as an associate in 2003, where he supported the regional development team. From 2004 to 2007, Tremayne worked for Carolina´s planned giving program. Tremayne and his wife, Alicia, a nurse and UNC alumna, live in Durham with their children, Isaac, Kenan and Laila.
