Mission

Our mission is to provide MBA students with enhanced career opportunities in the high-technology industry by sponsoring experiential learning opportunities and networking/recruiting events, and by building UNC Kenan-Flagler’s reputation as a source of technology business leaders.

Leadership Team

Vasu Sharma - President

Vasu graduated from BITS Pilani in India with a Bachelor of Engineering(Hons.) in Computer Science. He is originally from Rohtak which is a fast-growing city close to New Delhi. Prior to UNC Kenan-Flagler, he worked as a software engineer at CA Technologies in their Enterprise Software Division in a development and sustaining profile. He is pursuing a concentration in Marketing and Operations at the B School and has avid interest in product management. He is also an Economic Development Analyst at the Kenan Institute. For his summer internship, Vasu will join CommonBond which is a FinTech startup based out of NY. Vasu is an avid dancer, and has been choreographing stage performances for over 7 years now. He enjoys playing cricket, table-tennis and likes to travel.

Pradosh Verlekar - Executive Vice President

Pradosh hails from the West Coast of India – Goa. He graduated from Goa College of Engineering majoring in Computer Engineering. During his undergrad, Pradosh had a venture helping Goan restaurants with go-to market strategies to promote tourism and restaurant industry in Goa through online promotion. He then worked with Cognizant Technology Solutions for 4.5 years after school in multiple roles. As an ardent fan of soccer club Arsenal, he also worked as a Business Development Consultant for Arsenal Soccer. Most recently before pursuing his MBA, he was a part of the Indian Super League as a Brand Manager for FC Pune City. His goal as an Executive Vice President of the Business Technology club is working closely with tech aspirants to help pursue tech careers and establish strong alumni relations in the West Coast.

Edward Xu - VP of Finance

Edward Xu graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to UNC Kenan-Flagler, he had six years operations work experience at TE connectivity and GM. He is currently pursuing a concentration in operations management, and will be interning with Amazon Pathways over the summer. In his free time, Edward enjoys traveling, watching sports games and eating different cuisines.

Michael Krasnopolsky - VP of Communications

Michael completed his undergraduate education at the Open University of Israel majoring in Economics. He is originally from Afula, Israel, lived and worked in Tel-Aviv before moving to Chapel Hill. He served at the Israeli Defense Forces Intelligence, and worked at Travel Global Systems (TGS) and Segev Sport. He returned to UNC Kenan-Flagler to obtain his MBA, concentrating in Marketing and Entrepreneurship and plans to pursue a career in the Technology space. At UNC, Michael is also involved with the Jewish Business Association and MBA Ambassadors.

Dayoon Yoon - VP of Alumni and Corporate Relations

Dayoon obtained her B.A degree from Seoul National University in South Korea and joined and started working as personal banker at Chase in New York. Before coming to business school, she worked as a senior account executive for tech companies including Microsoft, Akamai, and Citrix at PR agency . At Kenan-Flagler, Dayoon is focusing on a career in technology marketing and entrepreneurship. She is a Kenan-Flagler Marketing Fellow and is also a part of the International Business Club leadership team. In her free time, Dayoon enjoys going to parties and drinking beers.

Kelsey Odom - VP of Alumni and Corporate Relations

odomKelsey Odom graduated with honors from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and spent the past 7 years working in Washington, DC at as political consultant. Kelsey is involved in the following Kenan-Flagler clubs and committees: Business Technology VP of Alumni and Corporate Relations, Carolina Women in Business VP of Learning and Development, Sports & Entertainment VP of Corporate Sponsorship, Social Committee Liaison. This summer, Kelsey will be joining Goldman Sachs as a Summer Associate in the Investment Management division in their Atlanta office.

Paritosh Tiwari - VP of Data Analytics

Paritosh obtained his engineering degree from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, India and joined Deloitte India as a consultant in Enterprise Risk Services. Paritosh has advised clients across industries in business process, and information technology risks. Before coming to business school, he was leading a team focused on using data analytics to better understand and solve business challenges. At Kenan-Flagler, Paritosh is focusing on a career in technology consulting. He is a Kenan Institute Economic Development Analyst and is also a part of the Consulting Club leadership team. In his free time, Paritosh enjoys reading on Quora, playing computer games, and creating data applications.

Jay Yang - VP of Learning & Development

Jay is pursuing a concentration in strategic marketing and general management. He started his career as a researcher in top European technical universities and continued as research scientist in Corning, the material company. He will join Owens-Corning as a strategic marketing intern in the summer of 2016. He likes history and travelling.

Leona Sun - VP of Learning & Development


Leona graduated from City University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Hong Kong Baptist University with a Master’s degree in Communication. Prior to UNC, Leona has worked in Shanghai Pudong Development Bank in Hong Kong as a relationship manager. She joined the program to make a transition to follow her passion in tech marketing. Her goal as VP of learning and development is to help more non-tech background talents to thrive in the exciting and promising industry.

Alejandro Baruh - VP of International Experience

Alejandro graduated with a bachelor in business administration from the University of Belgrano in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Prior to joining the MBA he worked for ExxonMobil Procurement in the Gas & Oil industry. His goal as VP of international experience is to help international students who look for opportunities in the technology industry to adapt to the US business culture and to create opportunities for all students who look to gain experience abroad.

Membership Benefits

At UNC Kenan-Flagler, we train our students with technology backgrounds to explore deeper business issues behind adoption and use of technology in organizations. We also encourage students with diverse non-engineering backgrounds to consider how companies can leverage information technology to make their businesses more efficient and effective. UNC Kenan-Flagler faculty research on IT related issues has been published in premier journals and is consistently rated best-in-class internationally.
