Ayman Kotob - President
Ayman has a diverse cultural background: he is originally from Syria, was born in California, grew up in Kuwait, studied in Wisconsin, and worked in Dubai. Ayman graduated with a double major in marketing and management and human resources from UW-Madison. Ayman has been a marketing insights professional for 10 years. Most recently before pursuing his MBA, Ayman was the Head of Consumer and Market Insights for Samsung Electronics in Dubai. His time at Samsung piqued his interest in technology and its profound impact on society today. Ayman thinks he is a good soccer player, supports Arsenal Football Club, reads anything from dystopian science fiction to historical biographies, and of course loves getting his hands on the latest tech.
Snikitha Penmetsa- Executive Vice President
Snikitha Penmetsa graduated from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad with Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Telematics Engineering. She worked with Accenture Services Pvt. Ltd. as a Software Analyst before joining Business school. Her goal as an Executive Vice President of the Business Technology club is to provide career guidance to students interested in working at technology companies by effectively leveraging relationships with tech companies, fostering alumni interactions and collaborating with other clubs to conduct special informational sessions.
Wenbo Zhu - VP of Finance
Wenbo graduated from Shanghai University with a BBA in Accounting. Before pursuing his MBA, he worked in Business and Tax Advisory at PricewaterhouseCoopers for 6 years. His goal as VP of Finance is to support all kinds of club activities at BTC and facilitate the operation of the BTC by managing the budget and available funds. Wenbo is the member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
Jasmeet Kaur- VP of Communications
Jasmeet graduated from Amity University with a BTech in Computer Science and Engineering. Prior to attending business school, she was working with Genpact Headstrong Capital Markets, providing IT consulting and technical services to an investment bank and a clearing house. As the VP of Communications, her goal is to help UNC Kenan-Flagler students pursue their interests and advance their careers in the tech industry, by making all the relevant information available to them. In her free time, she loves to dance and to go for long drives.
Tarang Agarwal - VP of Alumni and Corporate Relations
Tarang is a native of Delhi, India. After pursuing Electronics & Communications Engineering, he worked for an IT consultingfirm as a Project Leader and Software Developer in India and the US. He joined the MBA program at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School to transition to a Product Management/Marketing role in the technology industry in the West Coast. As a VP of Alumni and Corporate Relations, his goal is to increase the reach of Kenan-Flagler Business School in technology firms. He has organized the West Coast Career trek this year to widen the school’s connections with technology firms. The main objective of the trek was to help students gain insight about the business model of these firms, understand roles offered by them, and thus identify the right career fit.
Louisa Lu - VP of Alumni and Corporate Relations
Louisa graduated from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and ESC France. Prior to attending UNC, Louisa worked as a project manager at IKEA in the Shanghai and Quebec offices. She has a passion for exploring the world and was a part-time gym instructor. She has visited over 50 cities in Europe, Asia and North America and has observed aurora with Eskimo dogs at the North Pole. Her goal as VP of Alumni and Corporate Relations is to support the development of technology career opportunities and enhance the presence of UNC in the East Coast area.
Sabari Ram - VP of Alumni and Corporate Relations
Sabari Ram graduated from Anna University, Chennai with a Bachelor of Engineering in Production Engineering. Prior to joining the MBA program, he was working in the Information Technology sector for 6 years during which he focused primarily on building Data Warehousing solutions and providing Application Management Services to Fortune 500 Banks and Insurance Firms. His goal as VP of Alumni and Corporate Relations is to strengthen the relationship between technology companies and UNC Kenan-Flagler, organize career treks and on-campus events, and enhance the support from Tar Heel Alumni.
Monica Xie - VP of Learning & Development
Monica graduated from University of International Business and Economics with a BA in finance. Prior to pursuing an MBA, she worked at Ernst & Young as an Operational Transaction Services consultant. She is also the founder of the E-finance Club, a financial technology focused professional community in Beijing, China. Her goal as VP of Learning & Development is to equip club members with both technology big-picture knowledge and business acumen that are essential for a tech career by organizing panel discussions and industry-related events.
Javier de Santibanes - VP of International Experience
Javier joins us from his native Argentina, where he got his degree in Accounting from the University of CEMA. Prior to the MBA, he worked for IBM and Chevron in the Oil & Gas industry and is currently transitioning to a career in technology. As VP of International Experience, he is excited about working with the UNC Kenan-Flagler alumni and staff network to expand summer and full-time tech opportunities for international students across the globe.
At UNC Kenan-Flagler, we train our students with technology backgrounds to explore deeper business issues behind adoption and use of technology in organizations. We also encourage students with diverse non-engineering backgrounds to consider how companies can leverage information technology to make their businesses more efficient and effective. UNC Kenan-Flagler faculty research on IT related issues has been published in premier journals and is consistently rated best-in-class internationally. Faculty members consistently strive to incorporate their cutting edge research into the classroom.
