Brandon Copeland - President
Brandon received his bachelor's degree in Business Administration at Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina in 2012. After graduation, he worked in sales and marketing for the UNC General Alumni Association. There he helped create and develop social media programs and new strategies to help UNC reconnect with its alumni. In 2014, he decided to pursue his MBA and become a double Tar Heel by returning to Kenan-Flagler. Brandon is pursuing a Marketing concentration, and a career in Technology.
Morghen Johnson- Executive Vice President
Morghen received a bachelors degree in communications from Boston College in 2011. After graduation she joined public affairs agency APCO Worldwide as an Associate and member of the global crisis and issues management team. In addition to crisis and issues, she gained experience in managing corporate reputation, media relations, digital strategy, social media, project management and various forms of campaign implementation. Upon realizing that she has a passion for corporate branding, she saw an opportunity to broaden her skillset and focus on building a strong business acumen by attending UNC Kenan-Flagler. Morghen is currently persuing a concentration in Marketing.
Paul Hogge- VP of Communications
A product of the First State, Paul received his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Delaware. After graduation, he worked with the State of Delaware as a project engineer, and later with the City and County of San Francisco as an urban transportation engineer. Over the course of his professional career, he has worked on projects ranging from drainage construction to bike-lane design and hopes to expand his abilities in project finance while at UNC Kenan-Flagler. Currently, Paul is pursuing concentrations in Entrepreneurship and Operations.
Samer Khuri- VP of Corporate Sponsorship
Samer's life-long passion guided him to Berklee College of Music where he graduated in 2005 with a music degree. After turning his poker playing hobby into a long-term career, he began a startup in Lebanon, his family's home country, where he met his current wife and decided to pursue an MBA at UNC. Samer is pursuing a career in the Technology industry in Marketing or Strategy.
Ashton Phillips- VP of Corporate Sponsorship
Ashton graduated from Brigham Young University in 2008 where he majored in finance. Following graduation, he worked in IBM's finance division for 2 years. Subsequently, he worked for SPS Commerce in its corporate finance division for 3 years before deciding to attend business school. Ashton came to the UNC Chapel Hill Kenan-Flagler school of business to continue to hone his finance skills and pursue a career in investment banking.
Anton Downie- VP of Finance
Hailing from Queens-NY, Anton Downie received his bachelors degree in Finance from Stony Brook University in 2007. After graduation he worked in corporate finance and data analytics for a variety of companies. After 7+ years in the workforce he decided to persue his MBA at UNC Kenan-Flagler. Anton is currently persuing a Finance/Entrepreneurship concentration.
Charles Morris- VP of Learning & Development
Charles graduated from American University in 2005 with a BA in International Studies. He received his law degree from George Mason University in 2009. After graduation, he spent four and a half years as an associate in the International Trade and Investment group of the Washington law firm Steptoe & Johnson LLP. He returned to business school to pursue a general management career and lives in Chapel Hill with his wife Kathleen, daughter Jillian, and dog Lewis.
Theodora Tran- VP of Learning & Development
Theo graduated from UCLA in 2010 with a BS in Biology and a minor in English Literature. After graduation she spent two years in Ukraine as a Peace Corps Volunteer where she spearheaded a national water testing project and led HIV/AIDS awareness and anti-human trafficking campaigns. She is currently pursing a dual degree for a masters in environmental management at Duke University and an MBA at UNC Kenan-Flagler. Theo is pursing a career in CSR and Sustainability.
