The Corporate Finance Club is committed to providing each of its members with the tools necessary to make informed decisions about corporate finance careers and successfully navigate the corporate finance recruiting process. Club events and initiatives are centered on networking, sharing best practices, financial skill development and corporate engagement to improve students’ recruiting prospects and UNC Kenan-Flagler’s visibility among relevant employers.
Ben Clark - President
Ben is a double Tar Heel after studying economics as an undergraduate at UNC. After graduation Ben was a Fulbright Scholar in Brazil and worked with the finance and economics teams at the White House and US Treasury Department. He enjoys watching Carolina basketball, speaking Portuguese, and going on runs with his dog Taylor.
Rob Brady - VP of Finance
Robert graduated from Fredonia State in 2010 with a BS in Accounting and BA in Music. He worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers in NY for 4 years in the financial services industry. He is pursuing an MBA with a focus on corporate finance. He currently spends his free time hiking and writing music.
Thomas Frere - VP of Communications
Thomas is a full-time MBA student at UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. Prior to school, he studied Environmental Studies at James Madison University, taught special education as a Teach For America Corps Member, and managed guest service and front-end operations at a Target store near Washington, DC. Thomas is currently working with NC Growth as a Kenan Institute Economic Development Analyst, where he provides consulting services and technical assistance to local entrepreneurs. He loves to spend his free time kayaking and fishing.
Monica Xie - VP of Corporate Sponsorship
Monica Xie is a Class of 2016 MBA. She earned her BS in Finance from University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, China. Prior to MBA, Monica worked at Operational Transaction Services team at Ernst & Young after two years at PricewaterhouseCoopers as an auditor. She was a pro bono consultant and have strong interest in Impact Investment. She wrties Chinese Calligraphy since she was 6 and love learning diverse cultures.
Jordan Nousain - VP of Learning & Development
After Jordan graduated from the University of Michigan in 2008, he moved to Minneapolis, MN to work for Target Corporation. At Target he worked on owned brand apparel categories to reduce product costs and optimize inventory levels, and later optimized supply chain processes. He is pursuing an MBA to become a strong leader in ambiguous situations and is currently pursuing a concentration in corporate finance. This summer he will be interning on the Walt Disney Imagineering Finance team. When he’s not burning the midnight oil you can find him on the tennis courts with his classmates.
