The Corporate Finance Club is committed to providing each of its members with the tools necessary to make informed decisions about corporate finance careers and successfully navigate the corporate finance recruiting process. Club events and initiatives are centered on networking, sharing best practices, financial skill development and corporate engagement to improve students’ recruiting prospects and UNC Kenan-Flagler’s visibility among relevant employers.
Joel Mann - President
Joel is concentrating in corporate finance and is pursuing a career in the energy industry. Before returning to business school, he practiced law related to the federal income tax treatment of life insurance and annuity contracts in Washington, D.C. Joel graduated from the University of North Carolina in 2004 with degrees in business administration and political science, and earned his JD from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2008. This summer, he will be interning at Duke Energy.
Thomas Masich - VP of Finance & Operations
Tom is pursuing a concentration and career in corporate finance. Before coming to business school, he worked as a project manager for Lenovo’s ThinkPad division, and in foreign exchange operations at Credit Suisse. He is attending the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill for the second time, having received his BA in economics from the university in 2011.
Saumya Agrawal - VP of Communications
Saumya is a 2012 graduate from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee and has 4 years of operation consulting experience in oil refining business in India. This summer, she will be having the time of her life in Austin with Dell Inc. She loves to take long walks, talk about abstract topics, paint and read.
Patrick Kumf - VP of Alumni and Corporate Relations
Pat is a 2009 graduate of Trinity College, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Economics. Upon graduation, he settled in Boston working for Deloitte as a valuation consultant. After Deloitte, he worked in corporate finance for THL Credit, an alternative credit investment manager. This summer, he will be interning at Amazon as part of their Finance Leadership Development Program. In his free time, Pat enjoys running, whipping up cocktails, and daydreaming about the Boston Celtics' next NBA championship.
Monish Shah - VP of Learning & Development
Monish is attending a diverse set of classes in order to obtain a general management concentration in the MBA program. Prior to business school, he worked as an Associate in a boutique investment bank called Mosaic Capital in Mumbai, India. Monish enjoys watching soccer (Liverpool FC especially), trekking and experimenting different cuisines.
