What We Do
The UNC-Tsinghua Center for Logistics and Enterprise Development links top academic and business leaders for research and development projects that produce innovative technology tools and supply chain process improvements that promote business competitiveness and trade between the United States and China.
- Conducts research on enterprise issues identified by industry members – Research clusters focus on strategic areas identified by the center’s industry board: green supply chains, cold chains, logistics infrastructure, maintenance and repair logistics, logistics software and systems, real-time track and trace.
- Contributes to the solution of critical problems – Targeted research projects and high-profile conferences bring government, business, academic and nonprofit stakeholders together to examine and address such issues as food safety, multi-modal transportation, from high-speed rail to aviation, and even how to manage the logistic challenges required to host the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
- Connects leaders in logistics and supply chain research and practice – Harnessing the knowledge and experience of top academics and high-performing global companies to advance knowledge and practices by forming global partnership and hosting events.
