Jesse Davis’ research highlights the importance of learning and belief formation for asset prices, corporate decision-making and macroeconomic dynamics. His work embraces several common themes including subjective belief choice (e.g., motivated beliefs), endogenous information (both acquisition and production) and rational confusion.

He is an award-winning instructor who teaches the core microeconomics course in both the Full-Time and Executive MBA Programs and corporate finance theory in the doctoral program.

Before he began his academic career, he was a quantitative fixed income analyst at Neuberger Berman. He also worked for multiple non-profit organizations that provided housing for those in need.

Dr. Davis received his PhD from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, his MBA with high honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and his BS in mathematics and BA in chemistry and English literature from Miami University.
