Tony Laffoley is a Program Director in Executive Development at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Kenan-Flagler Business School. In this capacity, he partners with clients to design and deliver leadership development programs that are customized to meet the specific needs of the organization. He has 15 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing best-in-class organizational development solutions.
Having joined UNC Kenan-Flagler in 2011 from the client side of the business, Tony brings a great deal of multinational experience. He led the global change management and training function at Alliance One International, operating in countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, and South America. While at Alliance One, Tony worked with leaders across the enterprise to:
- Manage the people side of change through a merger and the deployment of ERP systems,
- Establish a company-wide human capital function,
- Design and launch learning management systems, and
- Create the new organization’s leadership development program, which included assessment centers, performance gap analyses, individual development planning, and group programming.
Tony’s industry experience includes automotive, agriculture, energy, financial and insurance services, government, healthcare, manufacturing, distribution, and retail trade.
Tony graduated magna cum laude from Barton College with a BS in psychology. He is certified in the use of the Human Patterns Personality Inventory and currently sits on the board of the Raleigh/Durham Chapter of American Psychological Type. Tony is a skilled and passionate facilitator, mentor, trainer and coach, committed to the development of others.
Originally from the island of Jersey in the English Channel, Tony enjoys giving back as a coach and mentor for youth, primarily as a certified coach in the Triangle chapter of The First Tee program, developing life skills through golf.
