Tony Laffoley is a Program Director in Executive Development at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Kenan-Flagler Business School. He has 10 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing best-in-class organization effectiveness solutions and leadership development programs.
Joining UNC Kenan-Flagler from the client side of the business, Tony brings with him a great deal of multinational experience. He led the global change management and training function at Alliance One International, operating in countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, North America and South America. While at Alliance One, Tony worked with leaders across the enterprise to:
- Establish a company-wide human capital function,
- Design and launch the company’s first learning management system, and
- Create the company’s first leadership development program, which involved the planning and directing of assessment centers, performance gap analyses and the design of development programs for the high potential future leaders.
Tony graduated from Barton College with a BS in psychology. He is certified in the use of the Human Patterns Personality Inventory and currently sits on the board of the Raleigh/Durham Chapter of American Psychological Type. He is a skilled and passionate facilitator, mentor, trainer and coach, committed to the development of others.
A Brit, originally from the island of Jersey in the English Channel, Tony enjoys giving back as a mentor in the Wake County schools system and as a coach in the Triangle chapter of the National First Tee program which teaches life skills to youth using golf as the vehicle.
