Susan N. Palmer is a Program Director at UNC Executive Development and an Adjunct Professor of Organizational Behavior at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School where she teaches human capital management in the MBA for Executives program. Susan has designed custom executive programs for a number of global organizations including Caterpillar, C.K. Birla Group, Duke Energy, Grant Thornton, John Deere, La-Z-Boy, Monsanto, Novartis, Owens Corning, SAS Institute, Siemens, Telkom SA and Xerox. She has delivered executive programs in India, Mexico and South Africa.
Susan also designs executive programs for human resource professionals with a focus on building business knowledge and skills. She was previously employed by Wells Fargo and Prudential Financial as a human resource executive where her company-wide management responsibilities included talent management, recruitment and selection, training and development and human capital research. She also developed an internal consulting function delivering consulting services on strategic business initiatives related to acquisitions, organizational restructuring, operational efficiency, service quality and new product/service development.
Susan holds a PhD in industrial and organizational psychology from North Carolina State University. She has held elected office in the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology and has served on the editorial board of Personnel Psychology.
