UNC Kenan-Flagler Alumni are getting involved with their alma mater in a new way starting in the fall of 2006. The School has created the UNC Kenan-Flagler Alumni Council, which will consist of a select group of School alumni from all degree programs. The Council will serve in an advisory capacity to the alumni affairs area and to Dean Steve Jones.
"The Council will perform a vital role in our continuing effort to provide the most comprehensive and effective alumni programs possible. All the members are very enthusiastic about beginning our work this fall," said Jeff Terry, executive director of alumni affairs.
The new Alumni Council will contribute to the School by:
- Communicating UNC Kenan-Flagler's activities and news to alumni and friends
- Representing the interests of alumni to the dean and the alumni affairs staff
- Participating in meetings and committees to propose and evaluate programs and activities that enhance the experience of Kenan-Flagler alumni
- Attending key alumni activities such as reunions and club, student admissions and recruiting events
Members will attend two Council meetings each year. The first meeting will be held Nov. 3 and 4 in Chapel Hill.
"I am excited about directing the Council and supporting the work of the School," said Alumni Council Chair Amy Farley (MBA '86). She will also serve as a member of the UNC Kenan-Flagler Board of Visitors.
Amy will be providing updates concerning the Council's work on this site. If you have an issue that you would like the Alumni Council to address, please let us know at
