Recruiter Checklist & Reminders
Before Academic Year Begins:
Early in Academic Year:
- To avoid scheduling conflicts, communicate all recruiting events (both on- and off-campus) to the CMC.
- Publicize events by contacting the MBA club leaders. Send electronic announcements to the Recruiting Coordinator to circulate to students.
- Participate in the MBA Career Fair and other CMC-sponsored events.
- Host a Career Trek or other event to get more exposure.
Prior to On-Campus Events/Interviews:
- Submit job description well before resume submission concludes. It should include location, minimum and desired requirements and a contact for questions.
- Promote your presentation or other event through the career clubs leaders and the CMC.
- Prepare for presentation by sending materials and order catering if providing food. (Please be sure packages are clearly labeled with your company name, number of boxes and presentation date. The shipping address is different than the campus mailing address and can be found on our Contact the CMC page. For catering, we recommend using VMeals.com.)
- Submit closed list by deadline and include two or three alternates.
Before Making Offers:
- Be sure all candidates are notified of their status.
- Remember our policies and professional standards when extending an offer. When students respond:
- Graduates should be given until December 31, 2009 or three weeks (whichever is longer)
- Interns should be given until February 5, 2010 or two weeks (whichever is longer)
