Seartex, headquartered in Germany, started with a good idea – to develop a completely new kind of lightweight, durable material instead of conventional textiles – and grew into a global success story.
The production of Seartex fabrics used in automobiles, aviation industries, wind industries, shipbuilding, as well as sport and recreation industries are now produced in plants in China, India, S. Africa, and Brazil with a sales network spanning the globe.
While maintaining its steady pace of growth, Seartex has also become a leader in sustainability, receiving the ECOPROFIT award in 2011. Climate protection and comprehensive sustainability are an integral part of the company’s philosophy and operations and the creation of Product and Corporate Carbon Footprints serve as international planning tools.
