Researchers and instructors from across the United State convene annually at the CIBER Business Language Conference to advance the field of business languages and languages for specific purposes.
Invited speakers discuss new developments in research, rethink teaching techniques and explore assessment tools and outcomes, while scholars and instructors share their latest work in daily sessions.
The 2012 conference was organized by the UNC CIBER around the theme Building Bridges from Bridges from Business Languages to Business Communities. More than 120 foreign language faculty were in attendance.
Scholars and instructors additionally have a chance to compete for the annual Business Language Research and Teaching Award - administered by the CIBER at the University of Illinois.
The conference and awards are sponsored by a consortium of U.S. CIBERs.
