A 30-member Advisory Council helps CIBER staff conceptualize, develop, promote and evaluate programs based on the objectives laid out in the Title VI Act of Higher Education, which authorizes CIBERS across the United States.
The Council includes business executives, a representative from the N.C. Department of Commerce, senior administration of UNC Kenan-Flagler, and department chairs and faculty from selected language and area studies departments at UNC-Chapel Hill.
The Council meets twice a year and is chaired by CIBER Faculty Director and Glaxo Distinguished Professor of Global Business Jayashankar Swaminathan.
