UNC Kenan-Flagler Reunion Weekend 2007

Reunion Weekend 2007 was held October 12–14 and was a resounding success. Almost 300 alumni and their families and friends joined faculty, staff and current students for a great weekend of reconnecting with the School.

On Friday, we kicked off with golf at The Preserve and later that afternoon welcomed all alumni back to the Business School campus with our “Barbecue and Bluegrass” reception. Over 150 folks then ventured down the hill to the Smith Center to take in "Late Night with Roy" as the official beginning to this year’s basketball season.

On Saturday, the day began with our service project for Any Soldier, Inc. Formal programming provided a presentation by local historian Freddie Kiger, "Tales from the UNC Campus." Noon time activities on Saturday included three great faculty seminars on Globalization, Entrepreneurship and Effective Networking. Our Minority Alumni Reception featured remarks by Charles Waddell (MBA 1984), former Tar Heel football and basketball star.

Everyone enjoyed the Tex-Mex fare and drinks at our Pre-Game Celebration. The UNC vs. South Carolina game followed (a valiant effort, but no win by the Heels). The day was capped off by our special Post-Game reception.

The weekend ended in grand style with Sunday brunch at the DuBose House in Meadowmont.

Thanks to all who attended and we look forward to seeing you at next year’s Reunion.
