Alumni Council Meeting, May 2007

On May 4 and 5, 2007, the Alumni Council held its formal spring meeting at the Rizzo Center. On Friday evening, the group met with Kenan-Flagler program leaders and associate deans and then enjoyed dinner at the DuBose House.

The Council now consists of three distinct workgroups, each of which is addressing a key element of our total alumni program. These workgroups are:

  • Alumni Clubs (including Club activities, development and expansion)
  • Connectivity (avenues through which alumni receive communications and stay connected to the School and each other)
  • Development and Fundraising (finding meaningful ways to encourage alumni to support Kenan-Flagler)

Each workgroup met throughout Saturday morning with Kenan-Flagler staff, and at the end of the day presented their ideas to Dean Steve Jones and Associate Dean for External Affairs, Jim Gray. In the coming weeks, these ideas will be prioritized and further developed into plans for implementation. Visit this site often to track the progress of these efforts.

The next meeting of the Council will be held on October 11 and 12, 2007.

The Alumni Council’s mission is to serve as a resource and voice for graduates of all Kenan-Flagler programs – BSBA, MBA, MBA for Executives, MAC and PhD. We exist to enhance your relationship with the Business School. We welcome your feedback on all aspects of your life as an alumnus. Please contact J. J. Froehlich, Council Chair, at
