When will I learn if I have been invited to attend IKF?
Invitations to attend Inside Kenan-Flagler will be made on a rolling basis. Applicants invited to attend will receive notification via email. Early applications are encouraged since seats may go quickly.
Will I be able to attend an MBA class session?
Yes, you will be able to attend a class and take a tour of our facilities on Thursday, October 20th. We encourage you to schedule your visit by logging into our Application Central site and selecting "Schedule an Interview or Campus Visit". You also may want to reach out to one of our MBA Ambassadors prior to your visit. Other optional activities will take place Thursday afternoon for those IKF participants who have arrived early.
Our faculty, staff and students will be integrated into the entire Inside Kenan-Flagler weekend agenda. Those not able to attend on Thursday will have an opportunity to experience the classroom environment at other points in the weekend.
Will I be able to have my MBA admissions interview during IKF?
Yes, IKF participants are encouraged to interview while they are in town.Once you have received your IKF invitation and confirmed to attend, we encourage you to schedule your interview for Thursday, October 20, 2011 by logging into our Application Central site and selecting "Schedule an Interview or Campus Visit". Interview slots on Thursday, October 20th will be reserved for IKF participants until October. In order to access the interview scheduler online, you have two options:
- Start your UNC MBA Admissions application, submitting your resume and paying the application fee; or
- Start your Consortium for Graduate Study in Management application for admission, selecting UNC as one of your six schools. Once you receive confirmation that a profile has been created for you in our database, you will have access to the interview scheduler.
Will I be required to participate in all IKF weekend activities?
The weekend is designed to give you a comprehensive overview of UNC Kenan-Flagler's offerings. Your active participation throughout the entire weekend is integral to the experience. Therefore, you are expected to attend all sessions.
Will UNC cover my travel, lodging and other related expenses?
You are responsible for all travel expenses to and from Chapel Hill, including airport transfers. Hotel accommodations will be provided as well as transportation and meals during IKF.
What is the attire for the weekend?
Attire will be business casual for most events, except as noted. If you are interviewing, business professional is the appropriate attire for your interview.
