"It helped me to get into the field of marketing, a field that always held a great deal of interest for me. The school was the key to unlocking the door for getting into marketing and brand management. It opened up a different way of thinking about a total approach to business and it helped me approach problems in a new and different way."

What she does

Thompson runs the day-to-day business of three Kraft Foods brands: Stove Top, Shake ‘N Bake and Taco Bell Home Originals. She is responsible for the financial performance of the brands, the brand equity, and all marketing efforts for Stove Top, Shake ‘N Bake and Taco Bell Home Originals.

"There is a fairly large Kenan-Flagler network here at Kraft. There were some great people who took me under their wing, and helped me to transfer my success at Kenan-Flagler to success at Kraft. The network overall has been great in terms of helping us bring in strong people and continue to have a strong pipeline. Every year we bring in between two and four interns from Kenan-Flagler across Kraft, and we have had great success."
