Why did you pursue an MBA?
“I started my career as an individual contributor. As I began moving into managerial roles I wanted to expand my business and leadership skills. My goal was not to change industries or companies, but to grow within my organization to become a more strategic leader.”
“The breadth of this program includes 115 students from 5 partner schools on 4 continents. It covers the cultural aspects of doing international business and gives you experience working on projects with colleagues in different parts of the world. If you look at today’s globalized business world, there’s no way you can have a single-dimensional approach. OneMBA made sense to me.”
- Executive Opportunities: “Since graduating, I still work at the same company, but I’ve changed roles and I manage a larger group of people, including three global teams: the US, Ukraine, and India. I moved from being a pure technical manager into being a strategic manager, which is exactly where I wanted to be. And it’s absolutely a result of what I learned in the program.”
- Global Network: “One of the best things to come out of OneMBA is the network of friends you have all over the globe. Whether you have questions about website development, need to understand the cultural aspects of doing business in the Ukraine, or just want a place to stay during your international visits, you are one email away from a global network of friends and colleagues.”
- Compassionate Leadership: “I would have to say the most important concept the program taught me is to lead with compassion. You start understanding that it’s not just the financial instruments that make your business thrive, it’s the people. You’ll be more successful if you invest in people first. That was the key for me: the soft skills. I lead by investing in people. It’s fantastic!”
- Personal Development: “I matured more during my 21 months in the program than I probably will over the rest of my life. It’s an amazing transformation. You come out of OneMBA with enough experiences to take your life where ever you want to go.”
