Why did you pursue an MBA?
"I have an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry, and I had been working in the healthcare industry since I graduated from college. I wanted to gain the management and leadership skills I needed to move up in my organization."
- Management Opportunities: "While in the program, I was promoted to director two years after my last promotion, which is pretty fast for my company. Shortly after graduating, I was given management responsibility for a research team. I’m applying Professor Miguel’s lessons on delegating and empowering – It’s fun to put those skills to work and watch things happen! I am definitely drawing on what I learned in the Evening MBA program.”
- Business Skills: "The program helped me gain confidence in my analytical skills, leadership ability, and general knowledge of business. Over the past year, I have played a key role in the analysis and implementation of an investment opportunity for my company. It's been great to use my analytical skills in various phases of the project lifecycle to help it succeed.”
- Leadership Development: "Before the program, most of my work involved individual research. Now, I’m leading teams! I’ve also led multiple strategic planning projects at both the corporate and business unit level. It’s rewarding to see the results of my leadership unfold. This is exactly where I wanted my MBA to take me.”
