Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat is the value of ExperienceBase?ExperienceBase helps executives to reflect on their experiences, to learn from their experiences and from those of others, and ultimately to accelerate their development as leaders.

How long does it take to enter an experience into the database? About 10-15 minutes.
How often do people enter experiences? This is up to each company, but on average about once a week. The idea behind this is that executives will have a least one substantial learning experience each week.
What companies are using ExperienceBase? ExperienceBase is new. We piloted an earlier version with participants in our Executive Development Institute. The current version is being piloted by Microsoft Corporation.
Are there individual licenses, company licenses and for how long? We generally offer licenses to organizations for a period of one year, although longer periods are also an option.

Can this be used in both custom and open enrollment programs? Yes, there are many facets to ExperienceBase making it valuable in both settings.
How many people should participate in one learning group? Groups can be as small as six people or as large as fifty. It is important that the members of the group believe that they can learn from one another's experiences, and trust one another to enter accurate and useful information.
Is ExperienceBase proprietary? Yes, this is proprietary software developed by the University of North Carolina's Kenan-Flagler Business School.
How do you encourage participants/employees to participate? In general, participants will use ExperienceBase in conjunction with a broader leadership development program. Using the software could be a central component of participation in a program.
Can this be integrated into our organization’s existing development program? Yes, but first we would need to know more about your specific needs.
What facilitator/expert resources are available? We can provide faculty and/or facilitators to review participant data and provide one-on-one feedback or group sessions via webinars.
Can specific questions be customized? Yes. Questions can be customized based on your specific needs.
