PhD Admissions Requirements
We seek to admit 12-15 students to begin the Ph.D. program in August 2010. The Admissions Committee will review completed applications as they are received. All admitted students receive School-based fellowship funding, but applications completed prior to December 1 are ensured consideration for a select number of University-sponsored fellowships. The final deadline for fall 2010 admission consideration is no later than January 1, 2010. To be evaluated, applications must have all required payments and materials and be received by the deadline.

Supporting Material
Transcript Guidelines
- Your name, exactly as it appears on the application, should be used on all supporting documents.
- Must be original documents authorized by the academic institution and stamped or embossed with the official seal.
- Photocopies are acceptable if the institution (or an embassy or consulate) has certified them.
- They must be made from the original document
- Each page must be officially verified as authentic
- Be sealed in an envelope by the official. The envelope must have the signature and title of the university, embassy or consular officer across the back.
- Official academic records must be in the original language. English versions of documents that interpret or translate marks, grades or degrees into U.S. equivalents are not acceptable.
- If the original language is not English, then you must also provide a literal translation from the issuing institution.
- Translations from the embassy or consulate of the country, or its designated agent, are acceptable if the institution will not provide a translation.
