Interviews
The interview gives you the chance to help us know you better. We value what we learn from the interview and we do not offer admission to anyone who has not completed an interview. We encourage you to come to Chapel Hill to interview on campus and partake in a variety of activities while you are here. On the day of your on-campus interview, you will also be able to:
- Attend an MBA class
- Join a group of MBA students for lunch
- Tour the business school
Interview Guidelines
- We conduct interviews from September through April.
- Anyone who submits Part I of the MBA application may schedule an interview.
- We encourage MBA applicants who can travel to Chapel Hill to interview on campus.
- If an on-campus visit is not possible, we offer phone interviews to applicants who live outside of the United States or in places far enough away that travel to Chapel Hill is difficult. We also offer interviews with alumni on a limited basis, in certain countries.
- Directors also travel to admission events around the world. You may be able to talk with a director who is in your region for one of these events.
- Check availability and schedule your on-campus or telephone interview using the Online Interview Scheduler

- Telephone interviews and face-to-face interviews are valued equally.

Campus Visits
You may visit campus with or without a scheduled interview. Schedule your visit using the Online Interview Scheduler. We will arrange for you to:
