Career Resources
We offer the following career resources for students looking to secure internships and full-time employment:
Campus Recruiting
Starting in the fall and continuing through the spring, companies looking to hire the best and brightest MBA candidates recruit at UNC Kenan-Flagler. The bulk of campus interviews for second-year MBA students looking for full-time jobs take place during the fall. Campus interviews for both classes take place during the spring.
Career Fairs
Each September, we offer the MBA Career Fair. The fair attracts numerous companies, many of which schedule interviews later in the year. It also allows our students to speak to and network with recruiters who are looking to hire talented MBA candidates.
In addition to our MBA Career Fair, we also encourage our students to attend the following fairs:
- Sustainable Enterprise Career Fair organized by the Center for Sustainable Enterprise at UNC Kenan-Flagler
- The West Coast Interview Forum focuses on West Coast companies, held in cooperation with members of the West Coast MBA Forum: Carnegie-Mellon, Owen (Vanderbilt), and Yale
- North Carolina Career Fair with Fuqua (Duke University), Babcock (Wake Forest) and North Carolina State University's MBA College of Management
Resume Books
We provide resume books for both classes for companies looking to hire our MBA students. In addition, we produce a range of specialized resume books for international students, career fairs and career club trips.
Student Visits
Career clubs plan visits to companies in their industry or function of interest. Most recently, the Real Estate Club traveled to Atlanta and Washington D.C.; the Marketing Club visited companies in New York, New Jersey, and Atlanta; and Finance Club members went to banks in New York and Charlotte.
Off Campus Job Search
MBA students looking for full-time or internship positions in a niche-market or those who are interested in a company that does not recruit on campus can draw on support from a number of resources including:
- One-on-one counseling
- Career clubs
- Alumni network
All students benefit from our online job postings which are sent to us by companies looking to hire MBA students from a top business school.
