Investments Emphasis Requirements

Undergraduate students must complete a minimum of 9.0 credit hours beyond the Finance
core, BUSI 408 Corporate Finance, BUSI 407, Financial Statement Analysis, and BUSI 409, Advanced Corporate Finance.

One of the following two courses is required:
Three (3) credit hours required
BUSI 580 Investments (3.0)
BUSI 591 Quantitative Methods for Investments (3.0)

Electives
Six (6) credit hours required
BUSI 588 Introduction to Derivative Securities & Risk Management (1.5)
BUSI 589 Fixed Income (1.5)
BUSI 590 Advanced Fixed Income (1.5)
BUSI 594 Hedge Fund Strategies (1.5)
BUSI 595 Advanced Derivative Securities (1.5)
BUSI 597 Applied Investment Management (3.0)
BUSI 598 Alternative Investments (1.5)
BUSI 600 Risk Management (1.5)
692H & 693H Honors Thesis in Investments (3.0 each)
