Background
- BA in English Linguistics, 1996, Nagoya University, Japan
- Project manager, HR development, McDonald's, Japan
Why I chose UNC
- At the MBA fair and on campus, I met students, faculty and staff who embody the core values of excellence, leadership, integrity, community and teamwork.
- Practicums here build consulting skills. They add much more value than anything other MBA programs can offer.
- The Center for Sustainable Enterprise is a global leader in social responsibility research with strong links to business.
Student life
“I'm proud to be among students from 27 countries who make up one-third of the Class of 2007. As Chapel Hill and Carrboro Rotary Club ambassadorial scholar, I share my love of Japanese culture with people from local communities. It is my way to build respect between our countries. Apartments are twice as large and more comfortable than those in Tokyo for the same rent.”
My experience of the MBA program at UNC
- Improved my skills as a manager and increased my mental toughness.
- Helped me adjust to the American learning style and feel confident when I speak up in class.
The UNC Kenan-Flagler network
- Second-year students help first-year students prepare for interviews.
- Career clubs design workshops, brown-bag sessions and career-oriented trips that help global students.
