BusinessWeek Ranks UNC Kenan-Flagler's BSBA Program No. 11

In its first-ever ranking of the best undergraduate business programs, BusinessWeek ranked UNC Kenan-Flagler’s BSBA Program No. 11. Other rankings of UNC Kenan-Flagler included:

  • No. 5 among public programs
  • No. 7 for academic quality
  • No. 10 for student satisfaction
  • Straight A’s in teaching quality, facilities and services, and job placement

UNC students said "Resources and teaching get a thumbs up at UNC."

"This high ranking reflects the great efforts of BSBA faculty, particularly the dedication of Associate Dean Carl Anderson and Program Director Jeff Cannon and their staff," said UNC Kenan-Flagler Dean Steve Jones. "They have done so much to ensure that undergraduate business students gain great experience in the program and develop the skills that make them highly valued by companies when they graduate."

To determine the BSBA ranking, BusinessWeek identified 84 colleges that met stringent quality criteria, then surveyed nearly 100,000 business majors, asking them to rate their programs on everything from curriculum and faculty to facilities and grading policies. To find out how students fared after graduation, the team surveyed 2,000 recruiters and studied starting salaries and conducted a third survey of the business programs themselves. BusinessWeek also determined which schools send the most students to top MBA programs.

BusinessWeek’s complete rankings of the top 50 undergraduate business programs is available in the May 8, 2006, issue of BusinessWeek and on BusinessWeek Online.
