Scott Smith

Regional Director of Development

Scott Smith is Regional Director of Development for the Triangle area, eastern North Carolina and eastern South Carolina. Scott joined UNC Kenan-Flagler in 2006 following a successful career of more than 20 years in sales and management in the sporting goods distribution and manufacturing industry. Scott’s responsibilities include fundraising, external affairs and alumni relations with Kenan-Flagler graduates, supporters and friends. He enjoys helping alumni reconnect with the school and exploring ways for people to support UNC Kenan-Flagler. Scott is a 1980 graduate of UNC with a B.A. degree from the College of Arts and Sciences. He is married to Kelli Smith, his wife of more than 20 years, and has two children, Morgan and Brian. His hobbies include officiating sports, beach time, bicycling, youth league coaching and golf.
