Kara Cochran

Director of the Annual Fund

Kara Cochran is Director of the Annual Fund for the business school. Originally from Winston-Salem, NC, she graduated from Davidson College in 1989 with a bachelor’s degree in English. She was a reporter for a small daily newspaper in Houston before she began her career in the non-profit sector. She spent seven years working in development at Forsyth Country Day School and Charlotte Country Day School. In 1999, she became the Director of the Annual Fund at the College of Arts & Sciences at UNC-Chapel Hill. She has been working for the Arts & Sciences Foundation off and on since then. Kara is excited about returning to Carolina in a full-time capacity and is eager to raise unrestricted gifts for Kenan-Flagler.
