CLDS is a co-founder of the Global Logistics Research
Initiative (GLORI), an academic partnership doing collaborative
research in logistics and supply-chain management. Founded
in 1997, GLORI has grown to include more than 10 universities
and institutes worldwide.
GLORI's mission is to enable private enterprises and
public authorities to cope with the challenges of increasing
dynamic complexity and turbulence in their business
environments. Since GLORI's inception in 1997, members
have developed and shared conceptual and methodological
knowledge to transform the risks of turbulence into
business opportunities.
GLORI takes an integrated approach to the logistics
environment…from the design of supportive public
infrastructures, to innovative transport technologies,
supply chain management systems, knowledge management
tools and multi-agent systems, as well as principles
and methodologies of managerial flexibility, decision-support
and value management.
GLORI holds an annual fall conference each year at
different member locations around the world.
