Purpose of Consortium

Collaboration among a large number of Centers for International Business Education and international partners to design and implement the Global Business Project course serves several important purposes:

  • Gives graduate students throughout the US an opportunity to work in teams on projects in a variety of current and emerging markets, utilizing their prior experience with a critical language and/or region of the world.
  • Permits each institution in the consortium a chance to draw upon its particular expertise and ties in either language or commerce in a particular country or region.
  • Provides MBAs and other graduate students the chance to practice the important art/skill of global, virtual and co-located teamwork with peers at their own and other institutions.

While distinct in language and region, each Global Business Project will have uniform objectives, methodologies, and outcomes designed and refined by the program originators and lead faculty.
