About UNC CIBER
UNC is home to one of the U.S.
Department of Education's 
Centers for International Business and Research (CIBERs
) . These
university-based centers promote education and training that will contribute
to the ability of United States business to prosper in an international
economy.
Funding of these centers is grant-based.
UNC’s CIBER is housed at UNC Kenan-Flagler’s Kenan Institute
of Private Enterprise. When UNC earned a $1.4 million renewal grant in
the most recent funding year, its proposal scored among the highest of
schools applying for these grants.
