Business Language Conference
Researchers and instructors from across the United States convene annually at the CIBER Business Language Conference to advance the field of business languages and languages for specific purposes.
Invited speakers discuss new developments in research, rethink teaching techniques and explore assessment tools and outcomes, while scholars and instructors share their latest work in daily sessions.
UNC organized the 2012 conference around the theme, “Building Bridges from Business Languages to Business Communities.” More than 120 foreign language faculty attended.
Scholars and instructors also have a chance to compete for the annual Business Language Research and Teaching Award administered by University of Illinois CIBER.
The conference and awards are sponsored by a consortium of U.S. CIBERs.
