Investments, securities markets and portfolio management are among Michael Hussey’s areas of focus.  He co-teaches “Applied Investment Management” in the MBA Program.

Mr. Hussey is the senior investment analyst at Mid-Continent Capital LLC, a Chicago-based investment manager. In his 18 years with this firm and its predecessor, he has held a variety of leadership positions including director of research and chief investment officer. Previously, he was vice president at The First Boston Corporation.

He is treasurer of the board of Triangle Residential Options for Substance Abusers.

He received his MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler and his BA from the University of Virginia. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder.
