Biography

The research of Diego Garcia includes financing and investment policies under asymmetric information, agency theory, markets for information, informational efficiency in financial markets, and computational approaches to optimal investment problems.

 

He teaches courses on derivatives and derivative securities.

 

An award-winning research, his articles have been published by the Journal of Economic Dynamics & Control and Economic Letters, and are forthcoming in Economic Theory and the Journal of Finance.

 

Before joining UNC Kenan-Flagler, Dr. Garcia taught at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

 

He received his PhD from the Haas School of Business and his master’s in statistics from the College of Letters and Science at the University of California, Berkeley. He received his BBA from the Asturias Business School Asturias in Spain.
